Brady Baby's Name Revealed

BOSTON (Aug. 28) - New England quarterback Tom Brady's newborn son has the initials JET.

Actress Bridget Moynahan announced Tuesday the name of their son - John Edward Thomas Moynahan - saying Brady arrived in Los Angeles in time for the child's birth last week.

"Bridget is very thankful for a happy baby, excited about being a mother, and very pleased that the father, Tom Brady, was able to be there for the birth," publicist Gary Mantoosh told The Associated Press.

Moynahan and Brady split up late last year after a three-year relationship. Brady has been dating supermodel Gisele Bundchen.

Brady, 30, has led the Patriots to three NFL titles and is a two-time Super Bowl MVP. New England opens its regular season against the rival New York Jets on Sept. 9.

Mantoosh didn't give any other details, including the size of the baby or whether Thomas was in honor of his father.

"Both mother and baby are at home, happy and healthy," he said.

Brady flew to California for the birth and returned to his team a few days later for a preseason game.

Moynahan, 36, is a former model who has starred in films and television shows.

Jets Cut 8 !

The biggest name that was released belonged to WR-KR Tim Dwight, who had been on the Physically Unable to Perform list all summer. Dwight was beginning his second season with the Jets and is in his 10th NFL season. He was trying to come back from an injury that landed him on injured reserve last season.

Others who were released: DE Darrell Adams, DT Zarnell Fitch, RB Tony Hollings, CB Rayshaun Kizer, WR Dante Ridgeway, OL Nick Smith and WR Juan Wong. That brings the Jets to 75 active roster players a day ahead of the NFL's cutdown to that number.

Let's Not SInk !

It's a BIG preseason game for the Jets. The past game was so ugly that I pray that they don't sink like the Titanic this weekend vs. the Giants. I really hope they play better or it could be a long season !

Can It Be That Broadway Joe Is A Grandpa?

Can it be that Broadway Joe is a grandpa?

It's weird to have the name Joe Namath and the word "grandpa" in the same sentence, but there it is.

Football legend Namath, the 1970s sex symbol and fur-wearing pop culture icon, has been made a grandfather with the birth of a little girl to his little girl.

Olivia Namath, 16, quietly gave birth to Natalia Namath on May 21 at Good Samaritan Hospital in WPB. Both mom and baby are doing fine.

Broadway Joe deemed himself "very happy" when Page Two caught up with him at his home in Tequesta to ask about his granddaughter. Wearing only a T-shirt and shorts, the overly tanned Namath quieted his four dogs, including a Weimaraner and a Chihuahua, on the steps of his Intracoastal home before flashing a huge Pepsodent smile.

"There are some things in life that are wonderful, and this is one of them," the 64-year-old former New York Jets QB and actor said. He transformed a wing of his home, in the Bay Harbor neighborhood, for Olivia and baby Natalia. "I'm just happy that everyone's healthy."
He declined to answer more questions.

Olivia is Joe Willie's youngest child with ex-wife Tatiana, whom in divorced in 1999. They have another daughter, 21-year-old Jessica.

Joe Namath is mostly known for guaranteeing a victory in Super Bowl III in 1969 against the overwhelming favorites, the Baltimore Colts. The guarantee quickly entered NFL lore, and Namath was among the era's most prolific pitchmen and TV analysts.

Namath, whose love for New York's nightlife was legendary, is semiretired after a boozy sideline TV appearance during a 2003 game in which he put the moves on female reporter Suzy Kolber.
